Twin Swing Arm Crane This system is called Twin Swing Arm Crane: TSA crane. It consists of two swinging crane arms at each side of the tender garage, with a hoisting hook underneath which can travel along the length of the crane arm. By an automatic control system, the operator can use either each crane arm and hook individual, or both arms in tandem, whereby the crane hooks are moving exactly simultaneously. With this system, a tender can not only be moved up and down and in/out, but also fore and aft. As the hooks can reach a large area inside the tender garage, many different tenders with different hoisting points can be served by the same crane system. For the Shipyard a big advantage is that installation can be done in a very simple matter at the end of the building period of the yacht. Each crane just needs to be bolted to its foundation plate, and hooked up to the ships systems. The cranes are available with a hoisting capacity of 1 ton to 8 ton per crane arm, with variable lengths. |
